U.S. Open (Flushing Meadows, Queens)

Mardy Fish in the process of winning against Pablo Cuevas (7-5, 6-0, 6-2) in the Louis Armstrong Stadium at the U.S. Open. It was over 90 degrees today but my son and I were happy to be there.
A passerby looks for a seat.
Sania Mirza of India confers with her doubles partner Vera Dushevina of Russia. They eventually lost (6-7, 6-2, 7-6) to Alisa Kleybanova and Ekaterina Makarova, both of Russia. I find it fascinating that, as a myopic American, I've never heard of any of these women and yet according to their web sites they're superstars in their home countries, earning millions of dollars from their tennis careers.
